The Hood County Clean Air Coalition is a proactive organization made up of businesses, schools, local government, and citizens whose goal is to promote clean air in Hood County, Texas. We recognize the dangers that high ozone levels pose to our community, especially for our senior citizens, children, and those that suffer from asthma and other lung disorders. We will work with local, state, and national stakeholders to identify strategies and solutions to reduce emissions that contribute to air pollution to try to ensure that air quality meets the National Ambient Air Quality Standards of the Clean Air Act.

Meet Arlo! Arlo is the mascot for Air North Texas (https://www.airnorthtexas.org/) and he is an airmadillo. His shell changes color based on the Air Quality Index, and let’s him know if he can play outside. Green and yellow means he can go and play, while orange and red means he needs to limit his outdoor activities.
